It might sound crazy, but in the US, breakfast for dinner is a big thing. Pancakes, waffles, eggs, potatoes… But what about German brunch for dinner? Let me explain, and this is why I love to live abroad, learning… learning.. food… and learning.
So, a good German friend of mine had me over for brunch. I didn’t know what to expect. I’m a vegetarian, so I thought I might have one option or two. But woah, was I surprised! It was a beautiful spread of breads, croissants, cheeses, soft-boiled eggs, avocados, pistachio cream, Nutella, raspberry jams, tomatoes, cucumbers, and cream cheese.
When I saw the spread, I thought- this is it. I’m moving in. It felt special, like a nice hotel breakfast. Not only was it beautiful, colorful, and absolutely delicious, but I realized it allows you to be creative, making all different combinations only to realize you just ate 10 pieces of bread in one sitting 🙂 Because the salty, sweet game is too easy.
